A note on what this is

This book supports reflection and everyday wellbeing. It is not therapy and not a substitute for professional care. Support numbers are printed inside on page 4 and again at the back. Read the full note.

Inside

Sixty-one activities, sixteen kinds of page

Nobody wants to answer the same question forty times, so variety is built into the structure rather than left to chance. No single kind of page is more than fifteen per cent of the book, and no two pages in a row are the same type.

Mindful colouring

Low-pressure doodling

Not “what are you grateful for”

What's Mine to Carry

Everything on your mind, then a mark beside each one: mine, theirs, or nobody's. The T's are the ones worth finding.

Things That Can Wait

Twelve rows, each with a date. An undated postponement is just a worry with better manners.

About this book

Is this a colouring book?

No. Colouring is one of sixteen kinds of page. Calm has five slow colouring spreads in ninety-six pages. The rest is reflection prompts, journalling, brain dumps, breathing, grounding, visualisation, word exercises, small challenges and short rituals.

Do I have to do it every day?

No. There is no schedule, no day one, and nothing dated anywhere in the book. Deliberately, because a dated structure creates a way to fail. Some people do one page on a Sunday for a couple of months. Some do half the book on a train.

What's the difference between the digital and print editions?

The digital edition is the whole book as PDFs. A screen version for reading and annotating on a tablet, plus A4, US Letter and greyscale versions for printing at home. The print edition is a proper 170 × 240 mm paperback on uncoated paper, printed in two colours, posted to you.

How quickly do digital files arrive?

Immediately. You get a download link on the confirmation page and by email the moment payment clears. If it doesn't arrive, email hello@milimethod.co and we will send it again by hand.

Can I print the digital edition?

Yes. That's what the A4, US Letter and greyscale files are for. They are single-sided, low-ink, and have a hole-punch-safe margin so the pages go straight into a ring binder.

Will it work on an iPad?

Yes. The screen edition has real text and bookmarks, and it annotates well in GoodNotes, Notability or any PDF app with a pencil.
