Digital download delivery
Digital editions arrive immediately, in two places at once: on the confirmation page, and by email.
What you receive
One ZIP file, about 12, 18 MB, containing:
| File | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Screen Edition (US Letter) | Reading and annotating on a tablet or laptop. Hyperlinked contents and bookmarks; real text, not images. |
| Print-at-Home, A4 | Single-sided, low ink, 15 mm safe margins, 20 mm hole-punch margin. |
| Print-at-Home, US Letter | The same, for US paper. |
| Greyscale Edition | The lowest-ink version, for printing at work or in a library. |
| Quick Start | One page: how to use the book, and where to begin. |
How the link works
- It appears on the confirmation page the moment payment clears.
- It's emailed to you within a minute.
- It can be used five times, and it stays live for 90 days.
- Run out of uses, or lost the email? Ask and we'll send a fresh one. No proof required.
Printing it well
- Print single-sided. Home printers and duplex are not friends.
- Choose “Actual size” or 100 %, not “Fit to page”, so the margins stay right.
- Print pages 18: 19, 44. 45, 58. 59, 70. 71 and 82. 83 first if you want the colouring spreads.
- Anything above 100 gsm paper takes a fineliner without ghosting.
On an iPad
Open the Screen Edition in GoodNotes, Notability or any PDF annotator and write on it with a pencil. Roughly a third of readers do this rather than printing. There's no app to install from us and no account to make.
Nothing is posted
Digital orders involve no postage, no delivery address, and no waiting. If you'd like the physical book as well, the Print + Digital option is £29 and you get the files immediately while the book is in the post.
