Mili Method

The wellbeing note

Mili Method books are activity books for reflection and everyday wellbeing. They are designed to help you slow down, notice what's going on, and feel a bit more grounded on ordinary difficult days.

What they are not

They are not therapy. They are not medical advice. They are not designed to diagnose, treat, cure or manage any health condition, and they should not be used as a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

The distinction matters. A book can offer you a structure and a quiet twenty minutes. It can't listen to you, it can't respond to what you say, and it can't tell when something has become too heavy to carry on your own. Those are things people do.

Claims we don't make

  • We never say a book treats, cures, heals or relieves anything.
  • We never describe our books as therapeutic, clinical or evidence-based.
  • We never publish a testimonial implying that a book resolved someone's mental health difficulty.
  • We never target advertising at people searching for crisis support.

If you're finding things hard

If the low feeling isn't lifting, if you're not sleeping, if you're frightened of your own thoughts, or if you're just tired in a way that sleep isn't fixing, please talk to someone. Not instead of a book. Alongside it, or before it.

In the UK

Your GP. The ordinary, unglamorous, genuinely useful first step.

NHS 111, call 111 and select the mental health option. Free, 24 hours.

Samaritans, 116 123. Free, 24 hours, every day. You don't have to be in crisis to call.

Shout, text SHOUT to 85258. Free, 24 hours, and it's a text conversation if talking feels like too much.

Mind, 0300 102 1234, or mind.org.uk, for information and local support.

Outside the UK, findahelpline.com will give you the equivalent numbers for your country.

These details were last checked in August 2026 and are reviewed every six months. If you spot something out of date, please tell us. We'd rather know.

The Relationships edition

Our forthcoming book about relationships contains no quizzes about your partner, no red-flag checklists, and nothing that asks you to observe, test or diagnose another person. Every page turns back to your own experience and your own choices. It also carries support details for Refuge (0808 2000 247), the Men's Advice Line (0808 8010 327), Galop (0800 999 5428) and Relate.
